Monday, 19. April 2010 R. STAHL takes over Screen-Tec - Market leadership in the field of explosion-protected displays extended

Waldenburg, 19/04/2010 - Executive Board of R. STAHL AG and Frank Kellershohn agreed on the takeover of Screen-Tec GmbH, Cologne. Strategic goal is the extension of the market-leading position in the field of visualization systems for explosion protection. The products of the start-up-company Screen-Tec ideally supplement R. STAHL's product program, with a minimal overlap. A company with a unique product portfolio of visualization systems for explosion protection will come into existence. Screen-Tec will merge with our subsidiary R. STAHL HMI Systems GmbH, which has been working successfully in the same business segment for years. The specialist in explosion protection that could successfully extend its market share, especially in the year of crisis 2009, with this step emphasizes its claim of being technologically leading.

In future the joint venture will be managed by Joachim Schuster, managing director of R. STAHL HMI Systems and Frank Kellershohn, managing partner and founder of Screen-Tec GmbH. Kellershohn and his team bring along new products and extensive know-how in sales and development. Kellershohn has repeatedly provided proof of his expertise.

The symbiosis offers new perspectives in joint market activities. Different key sectors lead to further growth potential. R. STAHL expects cumulated sales growth of € 15 million to € 20 million within the next three years because of the merger of the two companies.
